KBC Bank has said that Peter Roebben will be succeeded as the chief executive of KBC Bank Ireland by Ales Blazek.
Peter Roebben has been the CEO of KBC Bank Ireland since 2019 and is moving to the position of CEO of KBC Bank's Bulgarian unit UBB.
Alex Blazek is the current Head of Data and Strategy at ČSOB in the Czech Republic Business Unit of KBC Group.
The move is subject to approval by the Central Bank here.
The bank also announced several other management changes today.
These include the retirement of Rik Scheerlinck, KBC Group's CFO, who reached the statutory age limit in January 2021. He has worked at the bank for 37 years.
Today's changes are subject to the approval of KBC Bank's Annual General Meeting on May 6.
