Irish-owned soft services organisation Momentum Support recorded growth in 2020, with a significant increase in demand for cleaning services across the healthcare, public transport and industrial sectors.
Since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, the company has gained twelve new major customer contracts.
Momentum Support also launched new specialist services throughout 2020, expanding into Covid-19 test centres and primary care centres, as well as supplying specialised PPE and sanitisation products to both new and existing customers.
The company created 350 new roles in support of its growth during the year.
Acute hospitals and public transport providers have accounted for a significant portion of the company's increased level of activity.
These included key services such as detailed sanitisation cleans in Covid-affected areas, regular fogging and misting sanitisation across all sectors, including the use of innovative fogging machines, misting machines, a UVC cleaning machine, and ride-on sanitisation machines.
Ian Anderson, Group Chief Operating Officer of Momentum Support, said they are extremely proud of the work carried out by Momentum Support staff last year.
"A wide range of essential business sectors required enhanced, specialist cleaning services in order to continue to function safely during the pandemic, and our employees have very much been on the front line working with them to provide the highest quality of services.
"In 2021 we will continue to work hard to support our staff in maintaining these excellent standards to support our customers," he said.
