DHL Express has reassured customers that most services to and from Ireland are continuing to operate as normal.
It said that all inbound and outbound flights are operating to schedule and record volumes have been handled during this peak period in the run-up to Christmas.
From a DHL Express perspective, the only change that has occurred - from yesterday - is a temporary suspension of road based services to and from mainland Europe.
It said this is as a result of the closure of the Eurotunnel and Ferry ports.
DHS said it expects services will be reinstated as soon as the Eurotunnel reopens.
Separately, Deutsche Post DHL Post and Parcel divisions announced that they have temporarily suspended services into Ireland, but these shipments are not handled by DHL Express here.
