Pharmapod, an Irish software company which specialises in the healthcare sector, has announced that it will be pitching for the HSE contract for the online system to help rollout the Covid-19 vaccination.
The company is coming to market shortly with its cloud-based solution for the rollout of the Covid-19 vaccine globally and is partnering with the International Pharmaceutical Federation.
The Pharmapod app aims to streamline the process of administering the vaccine by allowing patients to book their vaccination appointment, tracks side effects and provide real-time information to healthcare professionals and public health bodies.
Pharmapod's founder and Chief Executive, Leonora O’Brien, confirmed that the company will be pitching for the HSE contract.
"As soon as the Government announce details of the selection process and requirements, we will be applying.
"A system is needed which will allow people to self-register online, book a jab and provide crucial data back to the HSE. This is exactly what our system does, so it’s a perfect fit,’’ she said.
Pharmapod currently provides a number of cloud-based, healthcare specific solutions for pharmacies, hospitals and the long-term care sector.
