Supermarket chain Aldi has today opened a new shop in Blanchardstown in Co Dublin as it continues its expansion nationwide.
The new Blanchardstown store will create 40 jobs.
Located at the Blanchardstown Centre, the new store will be Aldi's 23rd to open in Co Dublin.
Aldi has made a capital investment of over €167m in Co Dublin to date and said it will spend over €145m with its Co Dublin-based food and drink producers this year.
The new Blanchardstown store is powered by 100% green electricity. The company said it has invested heavily in improving its energy management systems and its entire store network is now powered by 100% wind generated energy.
Aldi now operates 145 stores across the country and will sell over €850m worth of Irish goods this year, sourced from producers, manufacturers and suppliers across the country.
