Elaine Geraghty, currently CEO with Screen Producers Ireland, is joining Ardmore Studios and Troy Studios as chief executive later this autumn.
Elaine has held a variety of senior management positions in Communicorp Group, The Sunday Tribune and 98FM and has over 30 years of experience in the audio-visual and media sector.
Ardmore Studios is starting a major investment programme that will increase its studio capacity, while it is also planning three new sound stages to facilitate the ever increasing international demand for high quality sound stage space.
When complete, Ardmore Studios will comprise over 140,000 square feet of sound stages and some 120,000 square feet of support buildings on its Bray site.
Ardmore has been home to hundreds of international and national films and TV productions over the years including Braveheart, My left Foot and Excalibur as well as The Last Duel, The Green Knight, Penny Dreadful, Into The Badlands and The Tudors.
Limerick-based Troy Studios has become a world renowned quality studio facility and Ireland's largest studio all under one roof. It is home to international productions where the standard of its facilities has helped further consolidate Ireland on the international production location map.
The studios said that Siún Ní Raghallaigh will remain as Executive Director with both businesses and will focus on overseeing, managing and delivering expansion at Ardmore.
