The McGettigan Hotel Group has today announced the launch of "The Address Collective" after an investment of over €16m in the new hotel brand.
"The Address Collective" concept was born out of the success of the Address at Dublin 1 at an investment cost of €15m in 2017.
Over the past two years a further significant investment of €16m was undertaken to create 'The Address Collective' and bring together three hotels.
These include The North Star Hotel and The Address @ Dublin1, The Kingswood Hotel in Citywest, and the Ambassador Hotel in Cork.
The three hotels have been re-branded as The Address Connolly, The Address Citywest and The Address Cork.
They have a total of 480 bedrooms and employ 300 people across them.
The business has recently secured full planning permission for a new €34m hotel on Parnell Street / Capel Street in Dublin city centre.
Brian McGettigan said that while launching a new hotel brand during an unprecedented crisis like Covid-19 is challenging, the group's long-term vision for "The Address Collective" remains steadfast and on track to grow market share.
"We are confident that our brand offering is one that corporate and leisure guests will seek out," he said.
Mr McGettigan said the group's strategy is to expand the brand in Ireland, the UK and Europe through a combination of purchases, leases and joint ventures.
"The current crisis has changed not only the trading landscape of the hospitality industry, it has changed the entire world. Similar to many other businesses, we have had to adapt quickly to create a safe trading environment for our customers and staff," Mr McGetting said.
"All properties have successfully completed the Failté Ireland Covid-19 Safety Charter. The safety of our guests and staff is at the fore and is a key priority," he added.
The Address Collective is owned and managed by husband and wife team Brian and Ciara McGettigan.
The McGettigan Group consists of nine hotels, including the three Address hotels, the Bonnington in Dublin, the Royal Hotel in Bray, Limerick City Hotel, Clanree Hotel in Letterkenny, McGettigans Hotel in Letterkenny and the Bonnington in Dubai.
