Drury Porter Novelli is to undergo a management buy-out after its directors agreed to buy it from its New York-headquartered parent.
The deal, which was agreed for an undisclosed sum, will see the public relations firm become independent again after spending 20 years as part of the Omnicom Group.
It will trade as Drury Communications following the transaction and will be led by current managing director Anne-Marie Curran.
The rest of the maangement team includes chairperson Billy Murphy, finance director Sinead Birt and director Paddy Hughes.
Drury was founded in 1989 and currently offers services across public relations, public affairs and consumer and digital communications.
Among its clients are Amazon Web Services, the ESB and Paddy Power-owner Flutter Entertainment.
"We have been an Omnicom owned agency for the past 20 years and have enjoyed a mutually beneficial relationship. While we will continue to stay close to our colleagues in Porter Novelli, we were keen to become independent again," said Ms Curran. "Under management ownership, our team will be even more agile and innovative, exploiting the fast-moving evolution of communications consultancy."
