Bord Gáis Energy has announced a range of new measures to help support the country's position on sustainable energy use.
Bord Gáis Energy said it is focusing on helping home and business owners to make better energy use choices, which will help the environment and support the low carbon ambition of the Programme for Government.
The company supplies energy and services to over 710,000 homes here.
It has established key partnerships to support the development of electric vehicle charger installation.
It has also launched its Demand Side Management product into Ireland - an energy management model which helps businesses take control of their energy supply and contribute to the green agenda.
For homeowners, as well as the company's Hive Active Heating and boiler service offerings, Bord Gáis Energy is offering house retrofit services and have just launched BER certification through its Local Heroes business.
It also plans to introduce a green energy tariff for its customers here, and has committed to retraining and upskilling its service engineers to support the new low carbon economy through heat pump and EV charger repair.

Catherine O'Kelly, Managing Director of Bord Gáis Energy, said the company has always focused on helping customers get the most from their energy and driving value for money.
"The launch and implementation of our sustainability initiatives was fast-tracked as a result of Covid-19, to reflect the changes in working and living patterns for our customers right across the country and in turn support the recently launched Programme for Government and the ambitious targets for reducing carbon emissions in Ireland," Ms O'Kelly said.
