Jurys Inn has said it plans to reopen hotels across Ireland from the 20th of July on a phased basis.

The hotel group has released a five-point plan to ensure the health and safety of employees and guests, which will be applied across the group's 48 hotels and corporate offices in Ireland and the UK.

All hotels will be operating as cashless, while food and beverage offerings will be limited and available only via contactless room service.

The group said that hygiene measures will be ramped up, with deep cleaning protocols being enforced.

Sanitising stations will be in place in key areas such as lobbies, receptions and lifts, while senior management will carry out increased bedroom checks.

Online check-in will be available at all hotels on re-opening to allow for social distancing, while there will be two metre markings in every reception area and protective screens will be in place at reception desks.

Commenting on the plan, Jason Carruthers, Managing Director of Jurys Inn & Leonardo Hotels UK and Ireland, said health and safety remains their number one priority.

"We've worked hard to ensure we’ve implemented the most relevant mitigating actions and precautionary measures to help prevent the spread of the virus within our hotels and across all of our operations buildings – wherever our teams and guests are," he said.
