Global payments technology company, Visa, has announced a new seven year contract with permanent tsb.
The deal is an extension of the existing contract, covering all consumer debit and credit, and commercial debit cards issued by the bank.
PTSB says the portfolio contract will allow the bank to offer new digital solutions to cardholders and will allow cardholders to continue to avail of the bank's GoRewards loyalty offer.
Commenting on the announcement, Patrick Farrell, Retail Banking Director at permanent tsb said, "We have chosen to partner with Visa because of their combination of market leading innovation, security and acceptance, building on a successful relationship that spans more than a decade."
Philip Konopik, Ireland Country Manager at Visa said, "We are delighted to renew our relationship with permanent tsb, having facilitated payments across the bank’s consumer and commercial card portfolio since 2010. Our innovative solutions such as our Card Linked Offers platform are helping to power permanent tsb’s digital transformation strategy, as well as helping to boost loyalty and attract new customers."
