Aldi has confirmed plans to open a new store in Clonakilty in Co Cork by the end of 2022.
Aldi received planning permission for a store in the town in April 2017 and this week lodged an application to alter its roof specifications to match the company's new standard store design.
The development of the new Aldi store will see up to 80 jobs being created during the construction period and 20 permanent positions will be created when it opens.
Aldi operates 23 shops in the county of Cork and it also has its Regional Distribution Centre in Mitchelstown.
