Bank of Ireland has said its response to the coronavirus pandemic will be as strong as possible and almost all its branches are remaining open as normal.
In a statement, the lender said it is committed to supporting customers through the economic difficulties cause by the outbreak.
"We know that the services we provide are critical," said Francesca McDonagh, Bank of Ireland CEO.
"We have a range of options in place for customers, and we will do more to find solutions during this very challenging time."
Among the measures enabled for personal customers are payment breaks and flexible arrangements on mortgages and personal loans, the bank said.
It said it would buy back foreign currency at the rate it was sold at for customers impacted by travel disruption, and it has also waived contactless fees.
All branches, expect for some on college campuses and in hospitals, are operating as normal it added.
Bank of Ireland is also working with the Government and other banks to help support the State's unemployment refund scheme by getting social welfare payments to those who have lost jobs as quickly as possible.
The bank said it is also providing emergency working capital to business, as well as payment flexibility on loan facilities.
New process have also been established to deal with requests from business customers quickly, while Covid-19 related inquiries are being prioritised over other day to day activity.
