Accumulated profits at the Dublin PR company that represents golfing superstar Rory McIlroy topped €910,000 last year.

New accounts show that accumulated profits at the Communications Clinic increased by €69,977 to €914,364 in the 12 months to the end of March last.

The company's cash pile reduced from €986,181 to €958,666.

The Communications Clinic employs 12 and directors’ pay reduced from €640,708 to €446,775.

Board members include Terry Prone and broadcaster Anton Savage.

MD of the business, Eoghan Tomás McDermott, stated that the financial year to the end of last March "was a very strong year".

He stated: "We continued to invest in our people's development, and also our technology. We now have a purpose built studio in our Adelaide Road office to support our clients in video and podcast creation.

Mr McDermott stated: "Business continues to be robust. Our client list is strong and includes many of the most significant institutions and individuals in Irish business, sport and public service. Our outlook is positive."

Mr McDermott stated that while the company is associated with political work, the work makes up only 5% of business.

He stated: "Our biggest revenue centre is communications training for large corporates, particularly in the areas of leadership development and personal impact and we’ve seen growth in this area in both client numbers and revenues through the past 12 months."
