Waterford-based waste management firm Kollect on Demand has listed on the Nasdaq First North exchange in Stockholm.
The Swedish listing follows a public offering of shares during which the company raised about €1.76m in capital to fund an expansion programme with a new technology platform.
"This IPO is a great milestone for the company and moves us one step closer to our mission of making it simple of making it simple for customers to have waste collected and recycled globally, whilst enabling a more sustainable world," Kollect CEO John O'Connor said.
Kollect is a technology company engaged in waste disposal services, providing solutions in two business areas - waste collection and waste drop-off.
Within the waste collection segment, its services include domestic waste collection, commercial waste collection, container (or skip) hire and removal of items such as furniture, mattresses and other large objects.
Within the waste drop-off segment, the company provides large, smart compactor bins, called BIGbin, installed at different convenient locations throughout Ireland.
These allow for the disposal of domestic waste and serve as an alternative to long-term waste contracts for collection.
