Dublin-based CarTrawler has secured a deal with EasyJet to provide the airline with its online car rental service.
The four-year agreement means EasyJet can expand its car rental offering to a broader range of customers with more choice across destinations, rentals and providers.
CarTrawler said it will completely oversee all online car rental services for EasyJet as part of its biggest deal in recent years.
In an industry first, however, EasyJet will retain Europcar as its media partner through a tri-partnership with CarTrawler.
CarTrawler said the technology-led partnership is the latest example of the company working with a global travel business helping them diversify and expand to offer customers more choice and more value.
Aileen McCormack, chief eommercial Officer at CarTrawler, said this new partnership is the biggest deal the company has signed in the past four years.
"At CarTrawler, we are heavily invested in the future of travel through our intelligent use of data-driven insights and cutting-edge technology. This partnership is yet another example of how we are transforming the travel marketplace, building brand loyalty and giving customers what they want, when they want it," Mr McCormack said.
CarTrawler works in partnership with many of the world's biggest travel brands, providing mobility services for over a quarter of the top 100 airlines, including Alaska Airlines, Jetstar, SWISS, KLM and Emirates.
