The Minister for Finance will travel to Germany today to meet the new President of the European Central Bank, Christine Lagarde.
Paschal Donohoe will also hold a meeting with German Finance Minister Olaf Scholz as part of the trip to Berlin and Frankfurt.
While in the German capital, Mr Donohoe will also meet Minister for Economic Affairs, Peter Altmaier, as well as Dr. Wolfgang Schäuble, President of the Bundestag for talks on Irish-German relations as well as the EU agenda and Brexit.
After speaking to the Berlin Foreign Policy Forum Mr Donohoe he will then travel to Frankfurt where he will meet Ms Lagarde.
The new ECB boss took up her role at the end of last month after she stepped down as the head of the International Monetary Fund.
Also in Frankfurt the finance minister will attend a National Treasury Management Agency investor event.
He will also visit the newly-opened Consulate General of Ireland in the city.
