Healthcare services business Uniphar has announced two acquisitions today - Nordic-based medtech service provider, EPS Group and Irish-based medtech service provider M3 Medical.
Uniphar will pay a consideration of €40m over four years for the two businesses, which are expected to add €22m to the company's revenues.
Both firms provide services to medical device manufacturers in areas of cardiology and vascular medicine.
The EPS Group delivers these services across Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Iceland and the Baltics, while M3 Medical's services are exclusively in the Irish market.
Ger Rabbette, CEO of Uniphar, said the acquisitions are a key strategic step in the company's plan to offer its pharmaco-medical clients a pan-European service by adding new countries and new agencies to its roster.
Mr Rabbette said the deal will add to Uniphar's already considerable expertise in the area of interventional technologies in key therapeutic areas.
