One4all has launched a fully digital multi-store gift card, which can be bought, customised, sent and spent using a smart phone.

A world first, One4all said the new card will revolutionise the gifting sector in both Ireland and beyond.

Developed at One4all's head office in Dublin, the One4all Digital Gift Card will be available to spend in over 8,500 stores nationwide.

It will offer all the same benefits as the traditional One4all gift card, while giving both the purchaser and end-user more flexibility.

While contactless payments on a debit card are subject to a €30 threshold per purchase, the One4all Digital Gift Card will allow transactions up to €150, provided the credit is available on the gift card.

The user will also always have access to their card balance.

As part of the new offering, One4all has teamed up with Apple, so that credit on all One4all digital gift cards can be spent via Apple Pay.

For Android users, One4all has built its own payment system, which can be accessed using the One4all mobile app.

Michael Dawson, CEO of One4all, said the One4all Digital Gift Card is safer, more flexible and easier to use than traditional cards.

"The new digital card will also make bulk orders from our business customers more seamless, as it provides businesses with the option to share an instant gift with hundreds or even thousands of employees," Mr Dawson added.
