50 new jobs are on their way to a company that makes single-use solutions for biopharma processing.

ARTeSYN Biosolutions will add the roles over the next 3 years to meet increased global demand for its components and systems.

The new jobs will be in production, engineering, customer service and research and development.

"This is a great development for ARTeSYN Biosolutions and marks a significant expansion of our Waterford manufacturing operations which allows us to ensure that we can increasingly support our global biotechnology customers in the development and production of next generation therapies to treat and cure serious illnesses," said Jonathan Downey, Operations Director at the company's Waterford plant.

The firm already employs 24 people and has invested over €1m in its manufacturing and cleanroom facilities.

The new investment will see the company’s plant at Six Cross Roads Business Park expanded by a further 2200 square feet.

The expansion is supported by the Government through IDA Ireland.
