Ryanair has reported a 5% increase in passenger numbers for October.

The airline said that passenger numbers on Ryanair Group flights rose by 5% to 13.8 million from 13.1 million the same time last year.

Meanwhile, the number of passengers carried on Ryanair flights alone was also 5% higher at 13.2 million, up from 12.6 million last year. 

The airline's load factor - how many seats it fills on each flight - stood at 96% in October.

Passengers on its Laudamotion services jumped 20% to 0.6 million from 0.5 million, with its load factor standing at 92%.
