Mario Draghi held his last press conference as President of the European Central Bank in Frankfurt yesterday.

The Italian will leave the role at the end of this month after eight years in charge of the ECB.

During his tenure, Mario Draghi led the ECB through a number of economic crises across the euro area, including the Irish bailout in the midst of global credit crunch, the Greek economic collapse and the possible demise of the euro currency.

How will he be remembered both here in Ireland and across Europe?
