Dublin bakery Brodericks has agreed a further one-year contract, worth €6.5m, to supply all Aldi stores across Ireland and the UK with its baked products.
Brodericks will provide Aldi with a selection of their handcrafted baked produce, including their "Specially Selected Mini Bite Tubs" and "Irish Indulgent Slices".
The bakery first started working with Aldi in May 2018 and then went on to supply the supermarket's UK stores this summer.
It said its move into Aldi UK helped to boost its sales value by a "whopping 260%".
John Curtin, Group Buying Director at Aldi Ireland, said the deal is a great example of the opportunities that exist for excellent Irish food and drink producers to work with Aldi in markets both at home and abroad.
Mr Curtin said that Aldi is committed to continuing to grow its Irish supply base and increasing the number of Irish products available in its stores.
"We have invested more than €1m in our Grow with Aldi supplier development programme since 2018, offering up-and-coming artisan Irish food and drink producers the chance to have their products listed in our 139 stores," he added.
