Liberty Insurance is to create up to 120 jobs in its Cavan operations over the next three years.
Liberty has established a new motor insurance claims servicing function in Cavan to help support Liberty Mutual's global business.
This will handle appraisal work for motor claims from the US, including expanding use of photo estimations to expedite the claims process for customers there.
The expansion is being supported by IDA Ireland.
The company said it is seeking people for administrative, support and management level positions in Cavan.
"This is an important development for our business operation in Ireland and I'm delighted to see that our expertise locally will support Liberty Mutual's motor insurance customers around the world," commented Tom McIlduff, CEO of Liberty Insurance.
Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation Heather Humphreys said that Liberty has a strong connection to Cavan and the creation of new jobs is a great vote of confidence in what the county and the wider border region has to offer.
IDA Ireland's executive director Mary Buckley said that attracting investments to regional locations remains a key part of the IDA's strategy.
"This news that Liberty Insurance is expanding its operations in Cavan with the creation of new jobs is most welcome and will be a huge boost to Cavan and the wider North West region," she added.
