AIB seeking small number of redundancies at Kildare call centre

AIB has confirmed that the bank is seeking a very small number of voluntary redundancies at its call centre in Naas.  

500 people are employed at the call centre based on the Blessington Road just outside Naas town.  

A spokesperson for the bank said the number of redundancies being sought is very small and also confirmed that a temporary hold on recruitment and promotion has been put in place.

"AIB recently advertised for a small number voluntary redundancy  applications across a number of areas. We have also advised the union that a temporary hold on recruitment and promotion has been put in place in line with the bank's renewed focus on cost discipline," the bank said in a statement.
