Real estate investment trust, IRES, has been granted planning permission for a development in Sandyford in Dublin.
The permission provides for a scheme consisting of 428 apartments in two blocks, a crèche and commercial units as a well as a communal space for residents.
The scheme - at Rockbrook in Sandyford - was approved by An Bord Pleanála through the Stratgic Housing Development process.
Following this approval, IRES says it now has planning permission for 628 units on existing sites.
"The receipt of planning permission for the development of our site at Rockbrook in Sandyford, Dublin 18 was a key strategic objective for our growth strategy," Margaret Sweeney, CEO of IRES said.
"We engaged in a detailed pre-submission process to ensure that the application met all of the requirements for a Strategic Housing Development including extensive engagement with Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council to understand its priorities and objectives for the locality."
