US restaurant management platform Toast has announced an expansion of its Irish operations as it plans to add 120 new jobs at its new Dublin office.

The Dublin office was the company's first international technology and product development centre globally.

Since coming to Dublin in 2017, the company now employs 40 people in engineering, development and support roles.

Toast said it is looking for new recruits to work in areas including software engineering, data analytics, product design and software development.

The company is supported by IDA Ireland.

Hugh Scandrett, senior vice president of engineering at Toast, said that Dublin is a recognised technology hub in Europe which makes it the right location for the company's investment in its new office.

The Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation Heather Humphreys said that Toast's expansion shows that we continue to have the right skills and talent available to enable exciting companies to grow and further embed their operations in Ireland.

Launched in 2013 in the US, Toast powers restaurants of all sizes with a technology platform that combines restaurant point of sale, front of house, back of house and guest-facing technology
