The number of orders to online takeaway service Just Eat grew by 21% globally in the first three months of the year.
Orders in the UK, where the firm is based, grew by 7.4% to 31.9 million in the three months to 31 March – a slowdown from growth of 27% in the same period last year.
However, growth in Ireland, Canada, Italy and Switzerland saw orders outside the UK increase by 40% to 29.5 million.
The company said UK growth was impacted by a strong comparative number, unseasonably warm weather in February and Easter falling in Q2.
An improvement in UK order growth is expected during the remainder of the year.
Revenue rose 28% to £227.9m and the group maintained its guidance of full year 2019 revenue in the range of £1bn to £1.1bn and core earnings in the range of £185m to £205m, excluding Brazil and Mexico.
