Irish security company Manguard Plus will create 300 jobs with the development of its new specialised front of house division.
The Naas-based firm currently employs about 1,200 people from its headquarters in Co Kildare, while it also has offices in Waterford ,Cork, Belfast, London and Chester.
It includes Aer Lingus, CRH and Virgin Media among its clients.
The company is currently in an expansionary phase and plans to launch its 'Concierge Plus' service - a complete front of house section aimed at corporate clients - within the next month.
Manguard Plus said its new employees will be trained in skills ranging from counter terrorism to conflict resolution to health and safety.
The company's managing director, Sean Hall, said it was rolling out its new service in response to clients' requests and needs.
"This model is already well established in the UK and in America but we will be the only security firm in Ireland to provide this particular function in this country," he explained.
He said the front of house market is a massive growth area for the company and the people it will be hiring will receive "very intensive and specialised training".
Meanwhile, accountancy firm Icon Accounting has announced plans to hire 20 new staff to meet increased market demand.
Having established itself in the IT space in Dublin, the firm is now looking at significant growth in other sectors including pharma, engineering and life sciences nationwide.
The company already employs 30 people at its headquarters in the Airside Retail Park in Swords in Co Dublin.
It currently works with 1,800 clients, and plans to double that number within three years.
