Emirates airline and Dublin-based Butlers Chocolates have agreed a deal that will see Butlers' chocolate served to first class customers on board all Emirates flights.

The new supply deal will see an estimated 50,000 Butlers luxury chocolate bars a month being served to Emirates' first class passengers.

The airline has partnered with a number of Irish brands over the past 18 months, including Keogh's Crisps, organic beauty brand VOYA, Killowen Yogurt, Jameson Irish Whiskey and Gahan meats.

Its customers will be able to select from a variety of flavours from the Butlers solid chocolate bar range, including Mixed Berries white chocolate and Honeycomb Crisp milk chocolate.

Butlers Chocolates began in Dublin's Lad Lane in 1932 and the chocolate brand is now available in more than 30 countries.

It employs over 400 staff in its Clonshaugh head office and production facility in north Dublin, and in Butlers Chocolate Cafés countrywide.

Emirates serves more than 160 destinations and employs around 500 Irish staff including pilots and cabin crew, who are based in Dubai.
