Housebuilder Abbey has said that trading over the summer has been steady and the group is in a good position to grow output this year.
In a brief trading update issued ahead of its AGM today, Abbey chairman Charles H Gallagher said the company's recent sales launch in Dunshaughlin in Co Meath has been very well received.
Construction on Abbey's new Navan project is progressing quickly, he added while the second phase of its Cornelscourt development is also under way.
Further projects in Co Meath and Laois are due to start shortly.
Meanwhile, Abbey said that sales in England have held up well, underpinned by the UK government's consistent support for first time buyers.
