Accountants Smith & Williamson have announced a deal to merge with Dublin-based accountancy firm LHM Casey McGrath.

The merger will see the enlarged group become one of the country's ten largest accountancy and financial services companies.

It will also create a total workforce of 135 people based in the company's two Dublin offices and will see the company's turnover increase to over €15m a year in Ireland and total group operating income to €300m.

Smith & Williamson's Dublin Professional Services Managing Director, Paul Wyse, said the merger is the culmination of 12 months of engagement with a firm that shares its vision and values in providing the highest quality professional services to clients.

"The team at LHM Casey McGrath is an excellent fit with our strategy in order to enable growth, improve our service offering and meet the needs of clients through a diverse range of professional services," Mr Wyse said.
