Tánaiste Simon Coveney is in Berlin today to speak at the annual conference of German foreign ambassadors.
Mr Coveney will address more than 200 ambassadors and 700 business people on Brexit.
He will also hold a 60 minute bilateral meeting with the German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas.
Under the Global Ireland plan Ireland is opening a consulate in Frankfurt next year alongside a long established embassy in Berlin.
