Travel software company Datalex saw its revenue rise by 5% to almost 32 million dollars during the first half of the year, when compared with the same period in 2017.

The firm, which counts some of the world's largest airlines among its customers, recorded a 14% increased in pre-tax profit to 6.1 million dollars.

Datalex said the increase was mainly driven by robust organic growth across its existing customer base.

The commencement of platform revenue at Lufthansa and at the company's new loyalty network customer, Multiplus, both of which will go live in late 2018, will deliver significant growth in platform revenue over the next three years.

Commenting on today’s results, Aidan Brogan, CEO of Datalex said he was pleased to report a strong financial performance in the first half of 2018. "We remain on track to deliver on our strategy to grow our business, which will underpin EBITDA growth in the coming years," he said. "We have a strong sales pipeline, and will make new customer announcements in the coming months and an investment program which will allow us to take advantage of the growing market opportunity in digital commerce for travel retail."
