The intermittent issues that some Bank of Ireland customers experienced using their debit cards today has been resolved.
The bank apologised to customers for any inconvenience.
The issue affected one in seven cards when customers tried to withdraw cash at some ATMs, or when using their cards for point of sale transactions.
The bank said it is investigating the issue.
In a statement this evening, Bank of Ireland said, "The intermittent issue today with regard to our point of sale and ATMs has been resolved. We would like to apologise to customers for the inconvenience".
