100 new jobs are to be created with the opening of a new logistics and warehouse facility in West Dublin.
The €20m McArdle Skeath facility in Hollystown will be used to provide temperature controlled storage for pharmaceutical and nutrition products.
The plant has been designed to exceed the specific standards required for the storage of medicines as set down by the Health Products Regulatory Authority.
20 jobs have been created initially, with a further 80 positions coming on stream in the next 12 months.
The new jobs will be in manufacturing, repackaging, rebranding and quality inspection.
Founded in 1968, McArdle Skeath has two facilities in Ireland, the first of which was set up in Inniskeen in Dundalk, Co Louth.
"Our facility and the standards to which we operate are designed to not only meet, but exceed the specification required to service the nutritional and pharmaceutical sectors," commented the company's managing director and CEO Micheál McArdle.
"This investment reaffirms McArdle Skeath's commitment to our core values in providing compliant solutions to Ireland's export and import markets," he added.
