A number of changes have been made to the board and committee of Independent News and Media following the resignation of Terry Buckley.

Mr Buckley announced last week that he was stepping down from his role as a member of the Nomination and Corporate Governance Committee.

Len O'Hagan has been appointed chair of the Nomination and Corporate Governance Committee following his resignation.

Mr O'Hagan had served as Chair of the Remuneration Committee, a role that is to be taken up by Fionnuala Duggan.

In a statement, the company said that following these changes they continue to meet the Board and Committee composition recommendations of the UK Corporate Governance Code.

Earlier in May INM announced that Non-executive Director Paul Connolly was stepping down from the company's board at the end of the month also, while Editor-in-chief of INM Stephen Rae is stepping down from his position.
