RaboDirect customers have until this 7pm to close their online accounts with the bank and transfer any funds elsewhere.
In February the Dutch lender announced that it was withdrawing from the Irish market, with operations ceasing today.
At the time of the announcement Rabo had 90,000 customers in Ireland with over €3 billion on deposit.
It has sent out information to those customers about the closure.
Any customers who miss today's deadline will still be able to retrieve their money, however the process may be slower as the funds will be moved to a separate unit with Rabobank.
"We will be writing to customers who have not closed their accounts in the coming days with full details of how they can access their funds and the steps they now need to transfer them to a current account in another bank of their choice," the bank said in a statement.
