Ornua, Ireland's largest exporter of dairy products, has appointed John Jordan as its chief executive designate.  

Mr Jordan will assume the role of CEO at the end of June when he will succeed Kevin Lane who announced his resignation in December. 

He is currently CEO of Ornua Foods Europe, Middle East Africa and Asia where he has developed long term strategies to grow the company's consumer sales portfolio.  

Mr Jordan was previously CEO at DPI Speciality Foods, a division of Ornua and the third largest speciality food distributor in the US.  

Headquartered in Dublin, Ornua exports to over 110 countries and has annualised sales of about €2 billion.  

It owns the iconic Kerrygold brand, as well as the Pilgrims Choice, Dubliner, Shannongold, Forto and BEO Milk Powder brands.
