Bank of Ireland has appointed Patrick Kennedy as its new chairman.
Mr Kennedy will replace Archie Kane, who announced his intention to retire in February. Mr Kane is due to step down from the bank at the end of July,
Patrick Kennedy was chief executive of Paddy Power from 2006 to 2014. Before joining Paddy Power, he worked at Greencore for several years where he was chief financial officer.
He also held non-executive roles at pharma company Elan from 2008 to 2013, and Paddy Power from 2004 to 2005.
He is currently chairman of Cartrawler.
