Retail Excellence has won the bid to host delegates from 30 countries across six continents at the mid-year meeting of the Global Retail Council.
Retail Excellence competed against Canada and Australia for the bid.
The Global Council will be hosted at Retail Excellence's annual conference in Dublin on May 15 and 16.
2,000 retailers will congregate at the conference to learn from world class speakers and suppliers in the industry.
David Fitzsimons, the chief executive of Retail Excellence, said securing the bid was a tremendous achievement for the Irish retail industry and for Ireland.
"To host so many influential retail executives from around the world and profile some of the best retailing standards we deliver in Ireland is a significant opportunity and achievement," he said.
