National Pen, which provides personalised marketing merchandise, has announced an expansion of its operations in Dundalk, Co Louth.
The expansion will see the company create 250 jobs over the next five years and is supported by IDA Ireland.
National Pen, which has been in Dundalk for the past 30 years, already employs over 1,000 in the town.
The company established its international headquarters in Dundalk in 1987. Its operations there include a manufacturing plant which personalises promotional products, and a contact centre which supports corporate functions including finance, HR, recruitment, IT, e-commerce and other support functions.
The company markets and sells its products in 24 countries around the world.
IDA Ireland's CEO Martin Shanahan said that supporting established companies to develop and grow, adding jobs, is a key focus for the agency.
"National Pen is a great example, having instigated new strategic initiatives to significantly grow the business and ensure the Irish operation's future success," Mr Shanahan said.
"The longevity of this company - 30 years in operation now in Dundalk - points to a substantial contribution to the local and wider regional economy," he added.
The Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation, Heather Humphreys said the company's ongoing innovation will ensure its continued growth in the years ahead.
