Money-messaging app Plynk says it is to create 40 jobs at its Dublin headquarters over the next year.

The roles include back-end software engineers, UX designers, mobile app developers and customer service representatives based out of their offices near Camden Street in Dublin City Centre.

Founded in 2015, the company enables instant, transparent person-to-person money transfers.

Linked to users’ Facebook accounts, Plynk users can send money as a message to a single contact or in-group chats instantly and with no fees.

Once a Plynk account is created, users receive a dedicated IBAN and virtual Mastercard for online payments.

Led by private investment trust Suisse Privée Ltd, Plynk successfully completed a €25m series A raise in June 2017.
