Dalata Hotel Group has agreed a deal with receiver Martin Harris to buy the long leasehold interest of 33 suites in the Clarion Hotel Liffey Valley in Dublin 22, for €8.58m

Earlier this month, Dalata completed the acquisition of the core Clarion Hotel Liffey Valley.

The deal includeed 158 bedrooms, the leisure centre, meeting rooms, reception, bar & restaurant, car-park and two vacant retail units.

Today's deal will result in Dalata owning and operating all 257 bedrooms in the property.

It said it intends to re-brand the property as a Clayton Hotel in the final quarter of 2017.

Dermot Crowley, Deputy CEO Business Development and Finance, said the company was delighted to acquire these additional bedrooms so quickly after the purchase of the core hotel.

The company is paying for the suites - which equate to 99 bedrooms - in cash.
