Primark has recalled three types of men's flip flops sold in Northern Ireland after it found high levels of a cancer-causing chemical.

The chemical is reported to be chrysene - a regulated chemical commonly used in dark-coloured dyes.

The flip flops were on sale from 4 January to 2 June.

A spokesperson for Penneys in Ireland said there is no recall for flip flops sold at stores in the Republic of Ireland.

The recall is for:

Khaki - 02387/07, 08, 09
Black - 02387/01, 02, 03
Blue - 02387/04, 05, 06

People can return the flip flops to any Primark store for a full refund, with no proof of purchase necessary.
