Carton House Hotel in Co Kildare is being sold with an asking price of €60m.
Joint owners the Mallaghan family and Carton Development Partnership - a vehicle of property developer Paddy Kelly - have spent some €90m refurbishing the resort since 1999.
The parties issued a joint statement saying they had reached "a consensual agreement with NAMA" to put the 668 acre estate on the market.
The hotel has carved out a niche as a training camp destination for elite sports teams.
It recently hosted the British and Irish Lions prior to the squad's departure for the recent tour of New Zealand.
The hotel has 165 bedrooms, including 18 suites located in the original house.
The hotel resort offers an extensive range of meeting rooms, conference and banqueting facilities and is a popular and exclusive wedding venue. The property also features two 18-hole championship golf courses.
