Dublin-headquartered rigid plastics manufacturer One51 has announced that Denis Cregan is retiring as chairman of the company with immediate effect.

Mr Cregan was also a non-executive director with One51, and has held the position of chairman since 31 December 2012.

The company board has appointed Hugh McCutcheon as interim Chairman, while it initiates a process to appoint a permanent successor.

Hugh McCutcheon, Interim Chairman, said: "I would like to thank Denis for his contribution to One51 over the last five years. Denis has stewarded One51’s transformation, following a period of restructuring, to become a leading rigid plastics manufacturer with a clear strategy of becoming a leading global player in its chosen markets.

"Denis decided to take the opportunity to retire from the Board as One51 moves to the next phase of its development.

"We would like to put on record our gratitude for his guidance, insight and expertise over the years and wish him well in his retirement."

One51, which employs around 1,700 people, operates from multiple production facilities in Ireland, the UK, North America and China.
