Software company Datalex, whose technology helps airlines manage and maximise sales through online retail, said it expects to deliver an eighth straight year of double digit growth in earnings.

In a trading statement ahead of its AGM, the company said its platform will go live and begin generating revenue from a major deal with German airline Lufthansa in 2018.

Trading so far this year has been in line with expectations, the company's chairman Paschal Taggart said.

Datalex opened a new Centre of Excellence in Manchester. The company said it expects to double its current workforce at the centre within the next 18 months.

Datalex's new business pipeline is "strong and growing" according to the trading statement.

"We are pursuing a number of new opportunities and expect to announce further signings during 2017," the company said.
