The National Treasury Management Agency has said it plans to issue €9 billion to €13 billion of long-term bonds over the course of 2017.

The agency will issue a statement at the beginning of each quarter outlining the auction plans for that quarter.

Last month the NTMA held its last auction of this year, issuing a €750m bond maturing in 2030.

It has raised €8.25 billion in funding in 2016 and previously set a funding target of between €6 billion and €10 billion for this year.

The NTMA said it also intends to hold at least one syndicated bond deal during 2017.
