Smurfit Kappa UK has announced a deal to buy Saxon Packaging in Norfolk for an undisclosed sum.
Saxon Packaging is an independent converter of board into corrugated boxes and fitments.
Smurfit Kappa UK is a subsidiary of the Smurfit Kappa Group, which is one of the leading paper-based packaging companies with operations in Europe and the Americas.
Earlier this week, the company reported pre-tax profits of €187m for the three months to the end of September, up 13% on the same time last year.
Smurfit Kappa said its third quarter revenues inched 1% higher to €2.050 billion from €2.024 billion.
